The Patriarch of Moscow and all Russia Kirill presented a collection of his sermons “eagerly desire spiritual gifts”. As reported RIA Novosti, the edition saw the light in the Day of Orthodox books, which is celebrated every year on March 14.

According to the Patriarch, before he had the opportunity to be published, for it was not enough time. Also, the Patriarch said that “the main task of the pastors, Church writers is to speak with the reader in the language which could be understood, to create texts that would be actualized eternal truths.”

The head of the Russian Orthodox Church thanked the publishers of his book and signed a few copies, one of which presented the Chairman of the Imperial Orthodox Palestinian society, Sergei Stepashin. The Bishop apologized to those who did not have time to give an autograph. “The life of the Patriarch is that we have somewhere to go” — he explained.
