MAC announced record number of accidents in 2016
In 2016, the world has witnessed a record for the last 25 years, the number of accidents. It is stated in the report of the International aviation Committee (IAC).
According to the document, in 2016 there were 63 accidents, of which 28 — in commercial aviation, 35 in General aviation. The MAC noted that the year 2016 has established a “sad record” in the number of incidents and investigations conducted by the Committee over the past 25 years.

While the Committee noted that, as in the previous two years of aviation accidents in the sphere of passenger transportation on heavy aircraft in 2016, did not happen.
The MAC noted that aviation accidents due to human factor, in 2016, occurred in 94% of the total number of accidents. The Committee also among the reasons highlighted erroneous actions of the crew, loss of control over the spatial position of the aircraft in contact with the weather conditions and others.
