ROCA called to remove Lenin’s body from red square
WASHINGTON, March 12 — RIA Novosti, Dmitry Zlatarev. The Russian Orthodox Church abroad (ROCA) called to remove the body of Vladimir Lenin from red square, said in a statement it of the Synod of bishops on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the events connected with the revolution in Russia.

“One of the symbols of reconciliation of the Russian people with God could serve as the release the red square from the remains of the chief persecutor and tormentor of the XX century and the crushing of the assigned monuments”, — the document says.
The ROCOR also feel that same way “should be done with the name of cities, regions, streets which to this day deprived of their historical names”.
As noted in the statement, “today’s relentless baiting of Russia by the “Western civilization” existed 100 years ago, and many before.”
“The world hated Russian Empire, heir to the Holy Orthodox Russia. No loyalty to the allied duty, nor the constant readiness of Russian Rulers to cooperate not helped”, — the document says.
The ROCOR hierarchs called to “reflect on their history and understand the reasons why Russia fell hard trials”.
