Uritsky district court of Orel region has declared the Baptists to be guilty of illegal distribution of religious literature and organizing religious meetings without notifying the Ministry of justice. They were prosecuted under article 5.26 of the administrative code (“Violation of legislation on freedom of conscience, freedom of religion and religious associations”). The amount of the fine amounted to five thousand roubles.
In October 2016 in eagle on 40 thousand roubles have fined a Baptist preacher from the United States of Donald J. Ossewaarde for violations of the “Spring package”. He was convicted of missionary activity in violation of legislation on freedom of conscience, freedom of religion and religious associations. Ossewaarde spent in his house meetings for Bible study.
