“The commander of the southern military district has launched a sudden check combat readiness of a number of formations and military units stationed in the Krasnodar and Stavropol territories, the Astrakhan and Volgograd regions, Karachay-Cherkessia and Adygea, as well as units of the Russian military bases in the republics of Armenia and Abkhazia”, — said the press service.
The main goal is to check whether the unit is ready to perform the tasks as intended, and to assess the level of combat training
Practical activities attracted about 6 thousand troops, 1.5 thousand units of armament, military and special equipment. Involved more than 20 staff and other military authorities.
