China plans to increase the number of Marines and four times from the current 20 thousand to 100 thousand soldiers.
As RIA Novosti reported, citing China Morning Post, as part of the marine corps will be six brigades. Also, China plans 15% increase in the number of servicemen in the Navy.
As the newspaper notes, the part of the Marines of the Chinese army will be placed in the ports of Djibouti on the horn of Africa and Gwadar in southwest Pakistan.
