Troops in South Ossetia can join the armed forces

Russian President Vladimir Putin and South Ossetian President Leonid Tibilov will meet in mid-March to discuss an agreement on the procedure of joining individual units of the Ministry of defence of the Republic in the armed forces of Russia. It is reported TASS with reference to the Russian presidential aide Vladislav Surkov.

“The sides plan to discuss the agreement between the Russian Federation and the Republic of South Ossetia (RSO) on the order of occurrence of the individual units of the Armed forces of South Ossetia the Armed forces of the Russian Federation, planned in the Republic the increase of pensions and salaries, as well as the construction of the medical cluster in South Ossetia”, – said Surkov.

March 18, 2015 between Russia and South Ossetia signed a Treaty on Alliance and integration. 10 Feb 2017 Leonid Tibilov said that the question of the possible accession of the Republic to Russia have been postponed until after presidential elections in April 2017.
