PETROPAVLOVSK-KAMCHATSKY, March 12. /TASS/. Main Department of EMERCOM in Kamchatskiy Krai issued a warning about the avalanche danger in many areas of the region. It concerns, in particular, popular tourist destinations.
“Because of the increased danger of avalanches from slopes of volcanoes and mountains of the Kamchatka regional avalanche center announced a storm warning. Spontaneous avalanches are possible on mountain territories of Ust-Bolsheretsk, Yelizovo (especially in the basin of the Paratunka river), including on the territory of the Kronotsky reserve, Milkovsky, Ust-Kamchatsky municipal districts, the city of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky”, — stated in the message Department.
Also the danger of avalanches high on the slopes of the volcanoes Viluchinsky, Kozelsky, Koryak and Avachinsky volcanoes.
In this regard, MOE refers to the heads of organizations conducting activities in the mountains, tourists, and sportsmen and hunters to refrain from visiting the avalanche slopes
