The President against the recommendations

The President of Moldova, Igor Dodon, in turn, acted against the advice of the Cabinet officials of the Republic.

“Note that I do not know the details about these government and Parliament cases, but from their public statements, we can conclude that their decision to deny government officials the visit to the Russian Federation is not normal,” wrote he in Facebook.

According to him, “perhaps there were some hiccups, as well as on the border, but this does not justify a solution that could block the good relationship that we started to build with the Russian Federation”.

“I will continue to travel to Moscow and to promote the interests of our country, to work to strengthen strategic partnership with the Russian Federation. Next week will undertake a working visit to Russia”, concluded Dodon.

The Moldavian President has told RIA Novosti that he was personally unaware of the facts of questioning and searches of Moldovan officials when entering Russia. “Collect information on the facts discussed in the government,” he stated.
