Military proposed fine for failure to leave the service apartments

The defense Ministry has developed amendments to the Code of administrative offences (Cao), according to which military members and their families will be fined if they do not release official accommodation after the termination of the contract of employment. The document published on the Federal portal of normative legal acts.

Fines may amount to 30-50 thousand rubles. Now the Ministry of defence have to evict soldiers from the housing service through the courts.

According to the authors of the bill, military personnel or reserve officers often “keep specialized of the premises after the termination or cancellation of the corresponding contract”. Because of this, the defense becomes more difficult to provide housing for newly arriving military.

It is planned that the amendments will enter into force in December 2018.

According to the law “On status of servicemen”, permanent housing is supposed to have served 20 years in the military, as well as those who stayed in the army for at least 10 years and resigned, having reached retirement age, state of health or in connection with organizational and staffing measures.

The General Director of the Moscow military legal Agency Oleg Zherdev said in comments Life that now ends contracts of hiring of premises many of the military, but they have nowhere to go there.

Sometimes the soldiers who are being evicted from official housing really nowhere to go. So, in 2011, the Military University of the Ministry of defense tried to massively evicted from service housing for the military, including officers who have served for 20 years or more, who had their own apartments.
