Of naval forces of Ukraine expect to replenish the ships of old patrol ships in the Islands from the countries-members of NATO, said the first Deputy commander of the naval forces of Ukraine Andrey Tarasov air Odessa channel 7.
According to him, these ships are quite efficient, and NATO countries maintain their vessel in such condition that “its combat capabilities remain unchanged”. As assured Tarasov, for ship class missile boat the age of 20 – normal.
“Another direction is getting from other countries ships, a period which ended, or they were replaced by other ships with great potential. We approached the finish line of the negotiations on the boats like Islands of the United States”, – said Tarasov.
Boats of this class from the United States last year received a Georgia. In October 2016 the United States Coast guard was transferred to Georgia decommissioned boats Jefferson Island and Staten Island, which operated for more than 20 years.
