Medvedev signed the national strategy for women
MOSCOW, 8 Mar — RIA Novosti. Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev signed the national strategy for women in the years 2017-2022, according to the government website.
The document notes that the strategy will be implemented in two stages.
On the first (2017-2018) will develop the mechanisms for its implementation: information and analytical, legal, and staffing of public policy in the interests of women.
The second phase (2019-2022) provides for the implementation of measures for the advancement of women in political, economic, social and cultural spheres.
Funded strategy will be the framework of existing state programs.
Earlier it was reported that the strategy will determine the tools that will ensure the effectiveness of involving women in the economy and increase their representation at different levels of decision-making. Among other points, overcoming gender stereotypes, reducing violence against women, the problem of combining female professional and family responsibilities, differences in salaries of women and men.
