Kiev accused of deliberately unleashing a civil war

Ruslan Balbec

The Kiev authorities should stop coming up with new reasons for litigation with Moscow and to revise its domestic policy, because by their actions they are pushing the country to civil confrontation. On Tuesday, March 7, was declared by the Deputy of the state Duma of Crimea Ruslan Balbec, reports RIA Novosti.

Thus, the MP commented on the lawsuit of Ukraine, aimed at the international court of justice, in which Kiev accuses Moscow of supporting terrorism and supplying weapons to the Donbass, as well as discrimination of the Crimean Tatars and Ukrainians in Crimea.

“The Kiev regime should look at yourself in the mirror, because their supply Ukraine became a state practicing military aggression and political and economic terror. In the country is the destruction of any dissent, and the nationalist ideology was elevated to the rank of state policy,” said Balbec.

According to him, Ukrainian authorities have contributed to the creation of the territory of the country of various extremist groups that contributed to the growth of ethnic and religious intolerance. “If this continues in the Donbas punitive operation to destroy peaceful citizens who decided to resist the politics of nationalism,” he added.

Meeting of the International court of justice in the Hague, which hears the lawsuit Kiev against Moscow, began on 6 March. On the website of the foreign Ministry of Ukraine reported that the hearing is likely to last four days.

Moscow believes that the appeal of Kiev to the Hague only pursues short-term political interests.

Crimea became part of Russia in March 2014 following a referendum. Kiev does not recognize the results of the plebiscite and considers part of its occupied territory. In Moscow, noted that the accession of the region conform to the norms of international law. Ukrainian authorities are also regularly accused Russia of involvement in the conflict in the Donbass. Moscow rejects these claims, citing a lack of evidence.
