Deputies of the city Duma of Tambov was elected mayor of the former Deputy Governor of the Tambov region Sergey Chebotarev. About it reports “Interfax” on Monday, March 6.
For the candidacy of the Chebotarev voice gave 25 MPs, four voted against. His rival, the leader of the local branch of “Young guard” Ivan Ivanov — did not receive a single vote. Initially, the mayor claimed eight people, but only two passed the competitive selection.
Sergey Chebotarev immediately after the election took the oath on the Charter of the city. His powers will last five years. “The city is going through tough times, a lot of problems with the budget and debt of the municipality, but first need to restore the people’s confidence in city government,” said new he.
