The Kremlin is not “the slightest intention” to interfere in elections in France

Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov said that the Kremlin has no intention to somehow interfere in the elections in France, reports RIA “Novosti”.

According to him, the Kremlin relate to the news, “as the exclusive internal affair of the French Republic”.

“I have not the slightest intention to somehow interfere in the electoral processes in France. It is a country that we value highly, despite the challenges. So there is, indeed, the candidates whom we know from previous experience there are candidates that we don’t know, but it is solely the prerogative of the French people and the French state to go about their elections. It’s not our problem”, — said Peskov.

Earlier, the speaker of the Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko called absurd accusations against Russia in an effort to influence the elections in France.
