Seven hospitalized with suspected avian influenza are not infected

Seven people were hospitalized in Sergiev Posad district of Moscow region with suspected bird flu, no identified virus. About it reports a press-service of regional administration.

“The third of March, seven people hospitalized with symptoms of SARS,” said the doctor epidemiolog local hospitals Pavel Gusev. According to him, the result of the examination, patients the bird flu negative, RNA (ribonucleic acid) virus was not detected.

Rospotrebnadzor reported that the strain identified at a facility outside Moscow bird flu is not pathogenic to humans, the Agency reports city news “Moscow”. “This type of flu affects only birds (…) Epidemic among people will not be”, — assured the Ministry.

On March 5, the source “Tape.ru” reported the infection of animals on three farms in Pushkin, Sergiev Posad and Shchelkovo areas. On March 3 it was reported that in the Sergievo-Posadsky district from bird flu killed 11 thousand chickens.
