The President of Russia Vladimir Putin congratulated the veterans and the staff of “Roscosmos” with the 25th anniversary of the creation of the authorized Federal body of Executive power in the field of space activities. This was reported on the Kremlin website.
According to Putin, over time the domestic space-rocket industry made a significant contribution to increasing defense, industrial, scientific potential of the country and strengthening national security.
“It is important that today the staff of the state Corporation “Roscosmos” is committed to responsibly solve tasks, the main of which is the reform of all elements of the complex, improving the quality and reliability of rocket and space technology, the development of fundamental and applied research, the practical implementation of modern technologies”, – said the President.
He wished the team of “Roskosmos” progress into a serious and popular work.
In September 2016, it was reported that Putin will discuss the issue of reorganization of the space industry with the head of Roscosmos Igor Komarov.
