Candidate for the French presidency from the party “the Republicans”, the former Prime Minister of the country Francois Fillon has declared that does not intend to refuse participation in the upcoming presidential elections, RIA Novosti reported.
“I was democratically elected candidate, I received 1.5 thousand signatures of elected representatives. No one has the power to force me to withdraw from participating in the elections, and I see no reason to withdraw my candidacy,” said Fillon.
Earlier it was reported that police raided the Paris home of the candidate for President of France françois Fillon and his wife. The audit was commissioned by the judicial investigators in the case of assignment of budgetary funds.
