“The coal we need, not only for electricity production, Ukraine consumes as mined, coal coking, it is also an important element in the economy, is the production of metal. It valueamerica industry, and our national currency, our entire economy rests on the export of Ukrainian metal. That is, we had defined markets.
What happened today, maybe we’ll find an opportunity today where to buy coal, but we will attacks of world markets for the supply of metals, this is the most terrible, and to restore these markets have practically chances will not be”, – said Levchenko.
In late January, the radicals blocked the movement of trains with coal from the Donbass. As a result, Ukraine was left without fuel. Metallurgical companies rose. Power plants had to declare a state of emergency. And electricity tariffs in the country has increased by almost a third.
