Russia’s permanent representative to the EU Vladimir Chizhov said that Russia refuses to talk with the United States on the situation in the South-East of Ukraine, reports Interfax.
“As for Russia, we can not refuse and do not refuse conversation with the same Americans on the situation in Ukraine,” said Chizhov on the TV channel “Russia 24”.
He also noted that Germany and France are reluctant to the question of U.S. accession to negotiations in the Normandy format.
Earlier it was reported that the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko twice spoke by phone with Russian leader Vladimir Putin during an exacerbation of the situation in the Donbass. It is noted that the contacts took place in coordination with the European partners in the Normandy format.
