The Nobel Committee said about 318 candidates for the peace prize
Moscow. 3 Mar. INTERFAX.RU — the Nobel Committee Thursday evening decided on a long list of candidates for the peace prize, said in a statement on the website of the Norwegian Nobel Institute.
All nominated candidates 318 is almost a record number, were more only in 2016, when the award was claimed by 376 candidates.
According to tradition, their names were not disclosed. The Nobel Committee will reduce the list of candidates to 20 positions and only then promulgate it.
The award ceremony will take place in October in Oslo.
