Heavy aircraft-carrying cruiser “Admiral Kuznetsov”

MOSCOW, March 3. /TASS/. Repair and modernization of the heavy aircraft-carrying cruiser “Admiral Kuznetsov” will begin in the first half of this year at the shipyard Zvezdochka in Severodvinsk and will last two and a half years, said on Friday, TASS reported a source in the Russian “defense industry”.
“The decision on the beginning of the renovation with the modernization of “Admiral Kuznetsov” at “Zvezdochka” in the first half of 2017 accepted. In the next one or two months will culminate in the development of the technical project with an indication of the scope of work and cost,” – said the Agency interlocutor, adding that “all work on the ship should be completed by 2020.”
