Hermitage Director Mikhail Piotrovsky in an interview with “the Ribbon.ru” said that thanks to the leader of group “Leningrad” Sergey Shnurova the Russians began to change the attitude to museums.

“Thanks to the situation around Isaac and the Cord word “Museum” was pronounced with a capital letter. More recently, under the Museum in the public consciousness meant either something boring and nasty, or treasure that we must take”, — he said.

Earlier in February, Cords posted on his Instagram a video where he reads his own poem devoted to the transfer of St. Isaac’s Cathedral, the Russian Orthodox Church. The work contained profanity. A few days later the administration of the social network has removed the video, after which the record was recovered in the account of the musician.

In January, the St. Petersburg authorities have agreed to transfer the St. Isaac Cathedral, the Russian Orthodox Church for free use for 49 years. Governor Georgy Poltavchenko promised to keep the Museum function of the building, however this decision has caused the dissatisfaction of many citizens. For the first time representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church has requested the transfer of Isaac in 2015, but then they refused.
