The media learned the name of the candidate on a post of the US Ambassador in Moscow

WASHINGTON, Mar 1 — RIA Novosti, Alexei Bogdanovsky. Former Utah Governor John huntsman is considered for the post of U.S. Ambassador in Moscow, reported CNN, citing sources.

The Wall Street Journal reported yesterday that huntsman could become the second highest official of the state Department, first Deputy Secretary of state.

The huntsman was Governor of Utah from 2005-2009, U.S. Ambassador to Singapore (1992-1993) and in China (2009-2011). Resigned from the post of Ambassador to China to run for President of the United States, but were not successful in the Republican primaries.

Prior to this, huntsman has held the posts of the first Deputy assistant Secretary of Commerce and Deputy US trade representative.
