The leadership of the mine in the Lviv region called the cause of the explosion
Moscow. March 2. INTERFAX.RU — According to preliminary data, the cause of the explosion on mine “Stepova” in the Lviv region was the outbreak of the air-methane mixture, said the mine’s Director, Sergei Smerechansky at the meeting with participation of Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman on Thursday evening.
According to him, appealed for medical aid 17 injured in the blast, 14 people were hospitalized, two of them are in serious condition.
Before the meeting the head of Ukrainian government told journalists about the necessity of revision of conditions of miners ‘ work.
Thursday morning in the village of the deaf Sokal district, Lviv region at the mine № 10 “Stepova” of OJSC “lvovugol” as a result of explosion there was a collapse of rock. Mine worked 172 miners, eight of them died.
According to Ministry of health of Ukraine, 14 injured hospitalized in Chervonohrad Central city hospital (two people in intensive care, 11 in surgery, one in medicine). According to operational information, the two victims is in serious condition, 12 in moderate condition.
