During a visit to Dushanbe, Russian President Vladimir Putin presented to the leader of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, the order of Alexander Nevsky, and the Minister of foreign Affairs of the Republic of Sirojiddin Aslov with the order of Friendship. “I again want to thank you for all that you do to strengthen Russian-Tajik relations,” – transfers Putin’s words, said during the presentation of the order of Rahmon, RIA “Novosti”.
Presenting the award to the head of the foreign Ministry, Putin is the coincidence of positions of two States on many international issues.
Before the talks in front of the Palace of Nations in Dushanbe took place the solemn ceremony of meeting the President of Tajikistan of the Russian leader. The national anthems of States, Putin and Rahmon shook hands and passed along the guard of honor, welcoming the participants of the delegations.
Putin’s visit to Tajikistan was announced last week. Then the assistant to the President Yuri Ushakov said that during the visit, will discuss his stay in Tajikistan, the 201st military base, as well as cooperation in the UN, CSTO, SCO and CIS. Following the talks, the leaders will adopt a joint statement about the relations of Russia and Tajikistan and signing of several intergovernmental agreements.
It was also announced the award of Rahmon order of Alexander Nevsky.
