CNN: trump believes the DPRK as the main threat to the United States
NEW YORK, March 1. /Offset. TASS Kirill Volkov/. The President of the United States Donald trump believes that North Korea is the main threat to the United States.
This was reported on Tuesday by CNN, citing an unnamed representative of the American administration.
According to him, the President believes that Pyongyang poses “the greatest immediate threat” to Washington.
As the source noted CNN, trump during last Monday meeting with the representative of China urged that work on solving the problem of North Korea. “You have to work on North Korea,” quoted by the representative of the US administration trump’s words.
The source did not specify to whom trump has addressed these words, however, apparently, we are talking about a member of the state Council of China Yang Jiechi, with whom trump has spent in Washington on Monday, a brief meeting, reports channel.
As noted by the press service of the Department of state, Yang Jiechi during his visit in the American capital discussed on Tuesday with U.S. Secretary of state Rex Tillerson issues of economic cooperation between Washington and Beijing, as well as the nuclear program of the DPRK.
The Chinese foreign Ministry earlier reported that on Monday, Yang Jiechi met with trump. The American leader, in particular, urged to strengthen cooperation between the two countries and contacts at a high level. Member of the state Council of the PRC, in turn, stressed that China intends to intensify cooperation with the United States on the basis of observance of principles of non-contentious, mutual respect and mutually advantageous cooperation, noted in the message, the Chinese foreign Ministry.
