Scientists have proven the benefit of aspirin in the fight against cancer
Scientists have proven the benefit of aspirin in the fight against cancer MOSCOW, July 20 — RIA Novosti. Scientists from the hospital Norwell Health in Huntington (USA) proved that daily consumption of low-dose aspirin reduces the risk of developing ovarian cancer. It is reported by MedicalXpress. In the course of work the specialists studied the data obtained from the 13 studies. In total they were attended by more than 750 thousand women. Doctors, in particular, was interested in how often they used aspirin and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (i.e., ibuprofen and naproxen). Scientists found out that daily consumption of aspirin in small quantities reduces the risk of ovarian cancer by 10%. “The results confirm that aspirin may reduce the risk of cancer of the ovary, however, before recommending it for daily use, it is necessary to conduct a number of studies,” said Shelly Tworoger, one of the authors of scientific work.
