The program of the parent capital it is necessary to renew after 2018, said Federation Council speaker Valentina Matvienko. Her words leads RIA Novosti.
According to Matvienko, there are proposals to extend the program until 2023. The rejection of such a tool, in her opinion, would be a mistake. “Replacing his regular payments would be nothing like “spreading” means. The stimulating effect of such measures — the effect of financial, social, psychological, moral — would be much weaker,” said speaker of the Federation Council.
Matvienko added that when deciding on the extension of the program and the indexation of matkapital will take into account the current economic situation.
In March, the Ministry of labour and social protection has criticized the proposal to replace the system of maternity capital monthly payments for children. The head of Department Maxim Topilin said that such benefits will cost more expensive. He proposed to extend the program until 2023.
The maternity capital is paid in Russia since 2007. Now the allowance amounts to 453 thousand rubles. The camera is available to families who gave birth or adopted two or more children. Funds can be spent on improving the housing conditions of the family pension to the mother, the child’s education, equipment housing means for children with disabilities, as well as to pay off the mortgage.
In December 2015, the President of Russia Vladimir Putin extended the program until December 31, 2018.
