Blocking in the Organization for the prohibition of chemical weapons (OPCW) presented a project on incident in the Syrian province of Idlib and the accusations against Damascus to use chemical agents like trying to switch to the idea of regime change in Syria. This opinion, according to TASS, was expressed in Astana the Minister of foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov.
“I think this is a very serious situation because it is now apparent that the false information that chemical weapons were used by the Syrian government, is used in order to move away from the implementation of resolution 2254, which provides for a political settlement with the participation of all Syrian parties, and to switch to a long-cherished idea of regime change”, he said.
Lavrov expressed confidence that this can not happen.
