MOSCOW, April 20. /TASS/. Complex expedition to the North pole, organized by the Expedition center of the Russian Ministry of defence, ended in the Arctic. This was reported by press service of the defense Ministry.
“One of the main objectives of the expeditionary unit, which included soldiers of the Military Institute of physical culture of the Russian Ministry of defense (VIFK), was the implementation of a number of research and development of the program of training of trainers for the Arctic units. The cadets received survival skills at the North pole, will be experts who will ensure the physical readiness of soldiers to be deployed to perform tasks in the far North, as well as by direct action in these climatic and geographical conditions”, – stated in the message Department.
The defense Ministry said that the route of the expedition was studied the characteristics of motor activity and health of military personnel when making a long journey on skis with elements of survival and orienteering. It was also studied the possibility of using mobile solar farms while travelling on the March for recharging small unmanned vehicles and means of communication.
