Moscow supports the continuation of a coordinated international effort in the existing formats to resolve the North Korean nuclear issue, said press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov. His words are quoted by the correspondent of”.ru” on Monday, April 17.
“We consistently urge all parties to show restraint in this situation, we urge all to avoid any action that could be regarded as a provocation”, — said Peskov.
Earlier on Monday, Vice-President of the United States Michael Pence and the acting President of South Korea Hwang Gean promised Pyongyang “punitive measures” in the case of new provocations.
In turn, the Minister of foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov said that Moscow will not accept “nuclear adventurous actions” of Pyongyang. At the same time, he stressed that responses of individual countries should not violate international law.
