A number of broadcasting companies in Europe have promised to boycott the song contest “Eurovision-2017” in Kiev, if it will not allow the Russian singer Yulia Samoylova.
About it the General Director of the European broadcasting Union Ingrid Deltenre said in a letter to the Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groisman.
Deltenre noted that the members of the EMU extremely negative attitude to Ukraine’s position in the scandal Samoilova. She encouraged the parks to allow the entry of a Russian singer.

Earlier, on March 29, head of the EBU, said that Ukraine could lose the right to participate in “Eurovision” in case no solution is found for participation in the competition Samoilova. Deltenre added that talks with Groysman and President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.
The security service of Ukraine closed Samoilova entry into the country on March 22. This decision was connected with the visit of the singer of the Crimea in 2015, in Ukraine considered a violation of the state border.
The semifinals of “Eurovision-2017” will take place on 9 may and 11 may, the final on 13 may.
