In Kamchatka earthquake of magnitude of 6.1
PETROPAVLOVSK-KAMCHATSKY, 31 Mar — RIA Novosti. The earthquake of a magnitude of 6.1 occurred in the area of Bay Lake on the Eastern coast of Kamchatka, told RIA Novosti the Kamchatka branch of Geophysical service RAS.
“Seismic event occurred on Friday morning local time in the Bay area Lake in the East of Kamchatka. The epicenter was at a depth of about 40 km 76 km North-East of the village of Ust-Kamchatsk. Energy class of the earthquake was 13.1,” — said the representative of the service.
According to the regional Central Directorate of Ministry of emergency, tremors were felt in two villages: the villages Keys and Ust-Kamchatsky — strength up to 3-4 points. At present, rescue workers inspect the building for damage.

On Thursday, seismologists recorded in the East of Kamchatka dozens of earthquakes in various capacities, mostly small. On Wednesday there was a seismic event of magnitude 6.7. In the villages of Ust ‘ -Kamchatsk, of krutoberegovo, Keys and Kozyrevsk tremors were felt the power from 2 to 6 points. The earthquake has not led to victims and destructions.
