The speaker of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko instructed the Committee of the upper house of the Parliament on constitutional legislation and state building, to prepare proposals for the creation of new spaces for dialogue between government and society. “I agree that we should not pretend that nothing is happening, hiding the head under the wing. We at the Federation Council, a Council for cooperation with civil society institutions. Obviously, this is not enough” — said Matvienko in response to the speech of the Senator Lyudmila Narusova at the meeting of the Federation Council.

Narusova said that the need to win the confrontation, which emerged in the society. In her opinion, the government should build a more constructive dialogue with the population.

“How does this dialogue now, we watched a Sunday in different regions of the country, not only in Moscow and Petersburg, and in Omsk, Novosibirsk and other regions,” she said.

On March 26, Moscow hosted the inconsistent anti-corruption rally. In the event, according to police, was attended by seven or eight thousand people. About 600 protesters were detained. On this day, protests were also held in several Russian cities, in some of them, in particular, in Perm and Barnaul, legally.
