The funeral of the younger sister of Raul and Fidel Castro, and Agustina Castro RUz, held in Cuba on Tuesday, March 26. On Wednesday, March 29, reports TASS.
She died on 26 March in Havana on 79-m to year of life. Her passing was announced on March 27, the Western media with reference to living in Miami, USA, her sister Juanita. She explained that the cause of death was complications after surgery for hip fracture.
Farewell to Agustinoy was held in the town of Biran, province of Holguin in Eastern Cuba, they were born sisters and brothers Castro. According to her last will, Augustine’s remains were cremated and the ashes placed in the family vault.
The funeral was attended by only the closest relatives of the deceased, including the Chairman of the state Council and the Council of Ministers of Cuba Raul Castro.
Agustin Castro was far from politics and worked in the civil service. She married the famous pianist Silvio rodrĂguez cárdenas (died in 2009), she left three children: a daughter living in Cuba, and two sons in Florida, USA.
Fidel Castro and his older brother Ramon died in 2016, their sister Angela in 2012.
All in the family Castro had seven brothers and sisters, of which to date survived three:: Raul (85), ENMA (82) and Juanita (83)/
