The authors of the film “the Most powerful man in the world” has named Vladimir Putin the most popular and supported world leader.
They noted that the power of the President of Russia stands on three pillars — “cybermuse”, “military power” and “cult of personality”
The key moment of the film was estimated Russia’s intervention in the U.S. presidential election. “He’s not stupid enough to openly confront the us and Europe. However, he knows how to use the power indirectly using cyber attacks and disinformation”, — said Mr. Zakaria.
According to the authors of the film, Mr. Putin enjoys the support of Russians, which is not possessed by any other world leader, because he managed to “revive Russia” after succeeding President Boris Yeltsin.
“To understand Putin, you have to understand Russia. Over the last hundred years, the country saw the fall of the monarchy, the collapse of democracy, the great depression, the Second world war with tens of millions of victims of totalitarian atrocities of Stalin, the collapse of communism, the collapse of the Soviet Union and the years of chaos and corruption during the reign of Boris Yeltsin. Then comes Vladimir Putin, who returns to stability and, according to the people, raises the standard of living and a matter of respect for the country in the world,” said Fareed Zakaria.
Yesterday the press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov commented on the film. According to him, the Kremlin expected that the film will be made “in line with the further demonization of our country.” However, the press Secretary noted that the authors gave the chance to the Russian side to participate in it and Express their opinion on the topics discussed in the tape.
