Western countries use anti-corruption committees to influence the internal politics of other States, said the President of Russia Vladimir Putin. His words on Tuesday, March 14, is the site of the Kremlin.
“You know, some countries aspiring to global leadership, or to be more precise, claims to global domination, have begun to adopt the practice of creating so-called anti-corruption committees of the parallel authorities that are most often used not for the purpose for which they were created, and to manipulate in the political sphere”, — Putin said at the final Board meeting of the Prosecutor General of Russia.
The head of state said that Russia will never allow to create such committees. However, in Eastern European countries such structures are already in place, he said.
In recent years, new anti-corruption law enforcement agencies — the National anti-corruption Bureau (NAB) and the Specialized anticorruption Prosecutor’s office was established in Kiev.
By the end of 2016, the NEB reported on the return to the state of over 100 million (218 million rubles) and the prevention of the theft of about 500 million hryvnia (more than billion). According to official information, at the end of last year, the investigators anti-corruption Bureau, together with prosecutors Specialized anti-corruption Prosecutor’s office had investigated approximately 280 cases, of which more than 40 have already been transferred to the court, and even 10 sentences.
