Russian President Vladimir Putin may meet with his American counterpart Donald trump at the G20 summit, which will take place in Germany in the summer, or sooner. This was stated by the official representative of the Kremlin, Dmitry Peskov, in an interview with CNN, shown on Sunday, March 12, reports TASS.
“If we don’t agree on the earlier summit, then, presumably, we can expect that they will meet at the G20 summit in Hamburg in early July. Because this is the first place where they will be”, — said Putin’s press Secretary.
According to him, “what’s really important is the fact that they sit face to face and will say”.
In late February, Deputy Minister of foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Ryabkov announced the beginning of preparation for the meeting of the American and Russian presidents Donald trump and Vladimir Putin. Earlier in the same month, the official Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Putin and trump will meet at the summit of “Big twenty” in Hamburg.
The presidents of Russia and USA twice and talked on the phone. The last conversation took place on January 28 and lasted about 45 minutes.
