Drawings auctions of slaves caused a scandal in American school
In one of the elementary schools of the U.S. state of new Jersey there was a scandal after children as a job made posters depicting slaves. About it reports BBC News.
Students aged 10 to 11 years were supposed to represent the auctions, which sold slaves. The children were accompanied by their inscriptions: “available slaves”, “quality maid”, and so on.
It is noted that some of those who visited the school parents made a complaint after seeing the drawings on the walls of the school, and received an apology from the head of school.
Unhappy moms and dads do not understand how such a job can teach children history. “It’s part of American history. This actually occurred. In my opinion, rightly, that they knew about it”, — said the employee of the school Andrea Espinoza (Andrea Espinoza).
In December 2016, it became known that in the USA teacher received a written reprimand for what asked the students to solve a math problem about sending intimate photos by SMS. 14-year-old schoolgirl was photographed on a mobile phone job in algebra and showed it to my parents. They rebelled and complained to the school administration.
