Moscow will study a note of the Moldovan authorities, in which officials of this country, it is recommended to refrain from traveling to Russia. This was announced by Deputy foreign Minister Grigory Karasin, reports TASS on Friday, March 10.
“The contents of this note raises many questions”, — said the diplomat.
Yesterday, 9 March, it became known that the Moldovan government has requested the officials not to travel to Russia in connection with what officials inspect at the border. The Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic took the decision to give Moscow an official note in which asked to take measures to stop “the abuse of power”. “The Russian Ambassador informed that while this problem is not solved, the Moldovan officials will be asked to refrain from traveling to the Russian Federation”, — noted in the message.
The President of Moldova Igor Dodon has opposed such a recommendation, however, the note was transmitted to the Russian Ambassador on the same day.
March 1, Chisinau withdrew its Ambassador in Moscow. According to the newspaper “Kommersant”, the recall of Ambassador to Russia could be the answer to a tough stance Dodon against the appointment of diplomatic representatives in a number of countries candidates proposed by the Cabinet of Ministers.
