Nearly 50 diplomats from Turkey sought asylum in Switzerland
Moscow. 9 Mar. INTERFAX.RU Turkish diplomats have written to the Swiss authorities a request for granting the right to asylum, reported Thursday on the website of the German newspaper Tages-Anzeiger, which refers to data of the Turkish authorities.
In the list released by the Turkish foreign Minister, said that the shelter has requested 48 diplomats.
Among diplomats in particular is the Counsellor of the Turkish Embassy in Bern, which Ankara accused of supporting living in the United States opposition Turkish theologian Fethullah gülen
Names and positions of other diplomats have not been announced.
