Medvedev said about changing “the weather in the economy”
The Russian economy has overcome the period of decline and has entered a stage of growth, said Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.
According to him, in 2017 the economy will show European growth, but the government is aiming for growth above the world average.
“Weather changes in the economy. Obviously, our economy has entered yet, maybe not so confident, but still in the growth stage. The fall ended. This year we expect growth in the range of 1% to 2%. This is very good because it is, in fact, the European level of growth, although I would like more. And that program, which we are now preparing the government action plan until 2025, aimed at three or more percent growth in our economy, in order to cover the global figures for growth”, — said Medvedev in an interview to “Vesti on Saturday” (quoted by TASS).
“It is very important that we managed to cope with inflation. Even at some relatively recent point, it seemed that inflation raged again after the devaluation of the ruble,” — said the Prime Minister.
