The UN high Commissioner for refugees Filippo Grandi, at the meeting with Russian foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov asked him to increase payments by Russia for the projects of the UN for refugees.
During an interview with the correspondent of the newspaper “Kommersant” said that Russia annually transfers $ 2 million to projects for the Management of the UN high Commissioner for refugees and asked Grundy, was not discussed whether the increase of this amount at the meeting with Lavrov on February 22 in Moscow.
“I asked Sergei Lavrov to consider such possibility”, — said the publication of Grundy.
He also added that “such issues are not solved on the spot, and we are aware of the current financial restrictions”.
