State Duma Deputy Vitaly Milonov appealed to the General Director of channel one Konstantin Ernst with a request to boycott the international song contest “Eurovision-2017”, which will be held in Kiev in my this year. It is reported by RIA Novosti.
Milonov demanded not to send Russian artists to the contest and to refuse its broadcast, because Kiev is pursuing “anti-Russian and Russophobic policy”. The MP stressed in his letter to Ernst that Russia is blamed for all the failures of the country where “Nazism raising its head”.
“The participation of our artists in this competition is unacceptable in any form. Impossible to imagine that Soviet citizens in 1943 went on a conditional music contest “Rahoveanu”, – the letter says Milonov.
The international song contest “Eurovision-2017” will be held in may in Kiev. Ukraine has received the right to host the song contest after the victory of the Ukrainian singer Jamala in Stockholm in 2016.
