Australian, British and French scientists have found that the formation of new planets is not without the help of “dust traps”, reports RT. It is noted that the astronomers created a computer model that confirms that the formation of planets from a gas cloud occurs with these traps.
It is noted that the dust clouds serve as a kind of buffer to slow the movement of solid objects, like asteroids and makes it possible to form a new planet.
As a result, the objects do not break each other, and the gravitational force of the stars is not pulling them from the cloud. Because of this originally small objects are joined together and form a planet.
