23 Sep were just two of the second round of gubernatorial elections in the Khabarovsk Krai and Vladimir oblast. In both regions the current governors (representatives of the “United Russia”) has conceded to candidates from the liberal democratic party.
Since the return of direct elections of governors in 2012 the liberal Democrats, such success was not. Before that, the party of Vladimir Zhirinovsky among the governors included only the head of the Smolensk region Alexei Ostrovsky, who received his position by agreement with the EP. In 2012 he was appointed the President of Russia Vladimir Putin, and United Russia did not nominate their candidate.
Khabarovsk Krai: the gap is large, there would be a scandal
In the Khabarovsk region in the gubernatorial elections was won by the Deputy of the state Duma Sergey Furgal. His opponent was Vyacheslav Shport, leading the region in 2009.
Furgal was born in 1970 in the Amur region. Graduated from Blagoveshchensk medical Institute. Some time worked in the specialty, but after went into business. In 2005 came to the legislative Assembly of the Khabarovsk territory. The state Duma passed in 2007 and ran successfully and in the following convocations. Is currently the first Deputy of the Duma Committee on health protection.
Their collision with Shport has occurred for the first time. In 2013, on the same gubernatorial election Furgal scored 19 and 14%, and Vyacheslav Shport — 63,92%.

Expert: the results of the elections in the Khabarovsk region say about the fatigue from the previous Governor
Indirect confirmation of this fact is that a few days before the election Shport and Furgal has posted two video messages. In one of them the acting head of the region invited the representative of the liberal democratic party as his first Deputy.
In the second his opponent agrees to this proposal. However, later Furgal noted that with the election, he is not removed and will go to work in the government of the Khabarovsk territory only under the condition that Shport will win. However, experts already assumed that the position of the opponent to the incumbent Governor to be elected will be easier.
But now Furgala will have to lead the region.
A considerable role played the situation after the second round in the Primorsky Krai, which was marked by a scandal involving falsification of the results. In the end, the results of the voting in Primorye even cancelled. Against this background, for the Kremlin was particularly important that a similar occurrence did not happen.
Very soon after the beginning of counting of votes Furgal was ahead Shport. Source “Газеты.Ru” close to the Kremlin, claims that at some point, political managers in the region were even willing to go to rewrite the protocols, but the decision was not made due to the fact that the backlog Shport was too large.
