The Ministry of culture proposes to limit the showing of foreign films in cinemas
MOSCOW, 10 sen — news. The Ministry of culture of Russia plans to amend legislation restricting foreign films up to 35% of the total number of sessions per day, suggests a paper published on the Agency’s website on Monday.

Earlier, media reported citing sources that the Ministry of culture decided to introduce amendments to the Russian laws that restrict foreign films up to 35% of the total number of sessions in the cinema during the day.
“The number of sessions of each film exhibited during the day in the cinema, with cinema, cannot exceed 35% of the total number of sessions of all films which display is performed in this theater during the day. The number of sessions of each film to be shown in the calendar month at the cinema with one cinema may not exceed 35% of the total number of sessions of all films,” the document reads.
According to the amendments, a violation of the cinemas of these requirements entail liability in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation. This document clarifies that the requirements will not apply to national films.
It is assumed that the control will implement the CPS. Information on the number of sessions of a specific film required the CPS will be given of the UAIS.
