The US state Department has put forward 12 demands to Iran to start negotiations

U.S. Secretary of state Michael Pompeo said that the USA are ready to negotiate a new nuclear deal with Iran but only if Iran seriously change its policy. Before the state Department in the face of Pompeo has threatened Iran with “the most severe in the history of sanctions” that will have “unprecedented financial pressure on the Iranian regime.”

“We are open to new steps not only with respect to partners and allies, but also against Iran but only if Iran wants major changes. As the President said, Donald trump two weeks ago, he is ready and wants a new deal (with Iran),” Pompeo said at the Heritage Foundation.

He stressed that the Joint comprehensive plan of action (SVPD, “nuclear deal”) could not restrain “hostile” actions of Tehran. “We will not repeat the mistakes of the previous administration (USA) and we will not negotiate on the terms of the AGREEMENT”, — he noted, adding that “nuclear ambitions” of Iran cannot be separated from the General situation in the security sphere.

Pompeo has listed the 12 demands to Iran to start drafting nuclear deal. In addition to the points associated with the nuclear program (full disclosure military program experts of the IAEA with unimpeded access to any facilities, the termination of enrichment of uranium and producing plutonium, the termination of the development and proliferation of ballistic missiles capable of carrying nuclear warheads), there were many political demands.

US urges Iran to release all detained Americans and citizens of the countries-allies and partners to stop supporting Hezbollah, Hamas, Yemeni rebels, the Taliban not to shelter at field commanders of grouping “al-Kaida” (banned in Russia), to respect the sovereignty of Iraq, to withdraw from Syria all parts are under Iranian command, and also to stop threatening behaviour towards neighbours, including Israel, Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
