Volodin has not ruled out a consultation on the bill about the responsibility for the execution of sanctions
Speaker of the state Duma Vyacheslav Volodin has informed that the Duma has received complaints from representatives of the business and banking community, concerned about the bill on introduction of criminal liability for the execution on the territory of Russia to Western sanctions.
Volodin did not rule out that before considering the draft in the second reading, further consultations will be held with the business and expert community. The speaker added that the state Duma has informed, inter alia, a statement of the Russian Union of Industrialists and entrepreneurs, called the draft law is absolutely unacceptable.

May 15, the state Duma approved the first reading of two of the sanctions bill. One expands the powers of the President and government to impose counter-sanctions, the other introduces a penalty for the execution and “actions to facilitate the introduction of” anti-Russian restrictions.
